Installing Adobe Illustrator. Creating a document, templates. Overview of the interface. Basic tools. Artboards (editing areas). Layers and groups.

Getting to know the interface
The first module is an introductory one. Gradually complete the brief and find out how the tools work and how to save files.

Drawing and color in Adobe Illustrator
Pencil. Brushes (types, settings). Eraser. Scissors and knife. Highlighting. Fill and gradients. Repainting. Library of colors. Representation

Basics of drawing
In this module, we’ll give you some practice with the drawing and filling tools.

Shapes and paths in Adobe Illustrator
Basic shapes: rectangle, oval, polygon, star. Lines and grids. Shape Builder. Combining and subtracting shapes (Pathfinder, Compound Path). Pen Tool. Select, distort, and transform. Work with anchor points. Stroke. The difference between contours and shapes.
